About

A traffic ticket is a legal matter that most people handle alone

Usually by paying it, which is an admission, and often without knowing what that admission costs beyond the fine. FineFight exists to make the alternative — actually contesting the citation with a licensed attorney — something a person can do without already knowing how.

What we do

The work, plainly

We read citations accurately, confirm what we read with the person who received it, assess what the matter actually involves, and place it with an attorney licensed in the court that issued it. Then we keep the matter visible while the attorney handles it.

Most of the difficulty is in the first half. Citations are inconsistent documents — formats differ by state, by county and sometimes by the officer filling them in. Getting the court, the charge and the deadline right is unglamorous and it is where a matter is won or lost administratively, long before anyone reaches a courtroom.

The second half is a routing problem: getting a properly prepared matter in front of an attorney who is licensed for that court and wants that kind of work, and then not disappearing while they do it.

What we are not

The distinctions that carry legal weight

Not a law firm

FineFight does not practise law and does not provide legal advice. Representation comes from independent licensed attorneys who accept matters individually.

Not an AI lawyer

Software reads documents and routes matters. A human attorney represents you. We are explicit about this because the distinction is legal, not cosmetic.

Not your attorney's employer

Attorneys in the network are independent practitioners. We do not supervise their work or direct their professional judgment.

Not a ticket-payment service

If you want to pay the citation, the court will take your money directly and you do not need us for that.

How we build it

Five decisions that shape the product

These are not values on a wall. Each one shows up as something the product does or refuses to do.

  1. 01

    Say what is uncertain

When we cannot read a field on a citation, we say so and ask you rather than guessing quietly. A confident wrong answer about which court has your matter is worse than an honest gap.

  2. 02

    No outcome promises

We do not publish success rates or promise dismissals. A court decides the matter, and a service that claims otherwise is selling you something it cannot deliver.

  3. 03

Price the matter, not the category

Representation is quoted per citation, with what it covers stated in writing, because a flat advertised rate is either subsidised by easy cases or thin on hard ones.

  4. 04

    The attorney decides

Matters are offered to licensed attorneys who accept or decline individually. Nothing is auto-assigned to whoever is free, and the professional relationship is theirs.

  5. 05

Show the case, do not narrate it

Filings, court dates and requests appear as they happen, in the court's own time zone. Being able to see the matter beats being reassured about it.

Contact

Getting hold of us

Where your message should go depends on who you are — routing it correctly is faster than a single inbox that has to be sorted.

You have a question about the service

You are not a client yet, or you have a general question about how any of this works. No account needed.

You already have a case with us

Sign in and raise it from your case. We can see the matter you are asking about, which we cannot do from an anonymous message.

Sign inFaster, because the context is already there

You are an attorney

Questions about joining the network, the referral surface or the terms are best answered on a demo rather than over email.

You want to start a matter

If your question is really about your own citation, the assessment answers it more precisely than we can in a message.

Please do not send case details to an open inbox

If you already have a matter with us, sign in before raising it. We will not discuss the specifics of a case with an email address we cannot verify owns it — not to be difficult, but because we have no way to know who is asking.

The legal position, stated once more

FineFight is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. How and when representation is formed, and with whom, is set out in the legal disclaimer, not by anything on this page.
