Coverage
What we take on, and where
Jurisdictions
Where the network reaches
Traffic law is local. An attorney must be licensed in the state that issued your citation, so coverage is a question about the network's reach into that state's courts.
Colorado
CO
Attorneys in the network hold licences in this state.
What this does not tell you
It does not tell you that your citation is supportable. Coverage of a state is not coverage of every court in it, and network reach is not the same as your matter being one an attorney will take. The assessment settles that, on your actual citation, before you are asked to commit to anything.
Case types
Matters the network handles
Grouped by what is actually at stake, because a tint citation and a CDL speeding charge are not the same problem.
Moving violations
The most common citations, and the ones most likely to add points to a licence.
Speeding
Including radar, lidar, pace and speed-trap citations, and excessive-speed charges that carry heavier exposure.
Red light and stop sign
Failure to stop, rolling stops, and citations issued from automated camera systems.
Improper lane change
Unsafe lane changes, failure to signal, and improper passing.
Following too closely
Tailgating citations, often issued alongside an accident report.
Failure to yield
Right-of-way violations at intersections, crosswalks and merges.
Reckless and careless driving
More serious charges that can carry criminal exposure depending on the state.
Licence and documentation
Citations about the paperwork rather than the driving — frequently resolvable, frequently ignored until they escalate.
Driving without a valid licence
Expired, unproduced or out-of-state licence citations, and driving while suspended.
Registration and insurance
Expired registration, no proof of insurance, and plate or tag violations.
Equipment violations
Lighting, tint, exhaust, mirrors and other equipment citations.
Elevated exposure
Matters where more than a fine is at stake. These are assessed with particular care.
Commercial vehicle (CDL) citations
A commercial licence changes the consequences substantially — a citation that is minor on a personal licence can threaten a livelihood.
Citations involving an accident
Where a collision is part of the record, the matter carries civil implications alongside the citation.
Failure to appear
A missed court date changes the posture of the whole matter. Tell us — it is handled as its own path, not as a form error.
Multiple violations on one citation
Several charges issued together are assessed as one matter, because they will be heard together.
This list is a starting point, not a determination
Out of scope
What the network does not take on
Being clear about this is more useful than being vague about it. If your matter is on this list, we are not the right service and you should not lose time finding that out.
DUI and DWI
Impaired-driving charges are a different area of practice with different exposure. The FineFight network does not take them on, and you should speak with a criminal defence attorney directly.
Criminal charges beyond the traffic matter
Where a stop produced charges that are not traffic offences, those charges fall outside what the network handles.
Civil claims arising from a collision
Injury and property-damage claims are separate from the citation. A traffic attorney handling your citation is not thereby handling your civil claim.
Parking and non-moving municipal tickets
Parking citations generally do not affect a driving record and are handled directly with the issuing authority.
Commercial fleet and volume matters
Bulk citation handling for fleets is not what this service is built for. Contact us if that is what you need.
The assessment is the real answer
This page tells you where to start. Send us the citation and you will get a determination on your actual matter rather than a general statement.
